TVS Set to Launch Its First Adventure Motorcycle in 2025: Key Highlights

TVS Apache RTX 300: First Adventure Bike to Launch in 2025, Competing with RE Himalayan 450 & KTM 390 Adventure

TVS Motor Company is ready to make its debut in the rapidly growing adventure motorcycle segment in India with the Apache RTX 300. This new model is expected to rival popular bikes like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure, both of which have gained significant traction in the market. The Apache RTX 300 was officially revealed at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, and while an exact launch date has not been confirmed, we anticipate it to hit the market in the second half of 2025, likely around the festive season.

A Sporty Yet Rugged Design

The Apache RTX 300 will be built on the same steel trellis frame as the Apache RR 310 and RTR 310, which gives it a more road-focused performance. The design incorporates sporty elements with a few adventure-specific touches, including a traditional ADV beak, tall windscreen, knuckle guards, mid-set footpegs, a luggage rack, and a robust engine guard. The front features a split headlamp setup paired with an imposing fairing, creating a bold and modern stance.

Robust Hardware and Features

The RTX 300 will come equipped with long-travel USD forks in the front and a mono-shock at the rear, designed to handle off-road terrain while maintaining a comfortable ride. The bike rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, wrapped in block-pattern tyres for better grip on uneven surfaces. Braking is taken care of by disc brakes at both ends, supported by dual-channel ABS as standard.

On the tech side, the bike will feature a 5-inch TFT display, offering smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call/SMS alerts. Additional features include riding modes, switchable rear ABS, traction control, cruise control, and cornering ABS—a comprehensive set of technologies to enhance safety and performance.

Powerful Engine and Pricing

Under the hood, the Apache RTX 300 will be powered by a new RT-XD4 299cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. This engine delivers 35 PS of power and 28.5 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip and assist clutch. We expect the RTX 300 to be priced around ₹2.5 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it competitively in the market alongside models like the KTM 390 Adventure X, BMW G 310 GS, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and the Yezdi Adventure.

With the launch of the Apache RTX 300, TVS is all set to offer an exciting new option for adventure bike enthusiasts in India, combining modern features with rugged capability at an attractive price point.
