MG Astor Delivers Premium Features at a Competitive Price Under ₹12.5 Lakh
JSW MG Motor India is raising the bar in the C-segment SUV category with the 2025 MG Astor, offering a compelling mix of style, features, and value. Positioned as a “Blockbuster SUV” in the Indian market, the Astor stands out with its upmarket design and interior quality that rivals more expensive vehicles.
Starting at ₹11.3 lakh (ex-showroom), the updated Astor brings a strong value proposition, particularly for buyers looking for high-end features without a hefty price tag. MG proudly highlights that the Astor is currently the only 4.3-meter SUV in India to offer both a panoramic sunroof and a 10.2-inch infotainment screen under ₹12.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
Feature-Rich at Lower Trims
Over time, C-segment SUVs have become more expensive, but few offer meaningful features at lower trims. MG breaks this trend by equipping the Astor with standout amenities right from the base levels. The panoramic sunroof is available starting from the Shine trim (introduced earlier this year), while the 10.2-inch infotainment system comes standard across all variants.
The value proposition doesn’t stop there. The Astor is also the only 4.3m SUV in India to offer a 1.5L petrol engine paired with an automatic gearbox and features like a wireless charging pad—available in the Sharp Pro variant at ₹15 lakh (ex-showroom). Another segment-first: heated ORVMs (outside rearview mirrors), enhancing practicality and comfort.
Premium Interiors and Advanced Features
Beyond features, MG Astor also impresses with its premium interior finish. It’s the only SUV in its segment offering extensive soft-touch materials, giving it a near-luxury car feel—an area where competitors fall short.
MG offers the Astor in five trims: Sprint, Shine, Select, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro. The SUV also packs up to 50 safety features, including 14 Level-2 ADAS functionalities, along with ventilated seats, digital key, wireless charging, auto-dimming IRVM, over 80 connected car features, and AI-based voice commands.
Powering the Astor is a 1.5L VTi-TECH petrol engine, paired with either a manual or a CVT automatic transmission, delivering a balance of performance and convenience.
