The much-anticipated MG Windsor Pro EV is set to officially hit showrooms tomorrow, May 6, 2025, with the price announcement. This upgraded version of the popular electric MPV comes with a larger battery pack, offering enhanced features and a longer driving range compared to its predecessor. While the full specifications will be revealed at the launch, here’s a sneak peek at the key details we know so far.
MG Windsor Pro Battery and Range
- Battery Capacity: 50.6 kWh
- Range: 460 km
- Power: 136 bhp
- Torque: 200 Nm
The Windsor Pro is powered by a 50.6 kWh battery pack, which is paired with an electric motor similar to the one found in the Wuling Cloud EV (sold in Indonesia). With this powertrain, the Windsor Pro offers a claimed range of up to 460 km on a single charge. The setup produces 136 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, providing a solid blend of performance and efficiency.

MG Windsor Pro Features
- V2L and V2V Capabilities
- Level 2 ADAS
- Lighter Cabin Interior
Inside, the Windsor Pro will feature a refreshed cabin with a lighter shade interior, replacing the regular black theme for a more airy and spacious feel. On the tech front, the long-range variant will come equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including 12 safety features such as lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, and more. The Pro variant will also introduce Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) functionalities, expanding its practicality beyond traditional EV capabilities.
MG Windsor Pro Exterior Design
- New Alloy Wheels
- ADAS Badge on the Tailgate
- New Colour Options
Spy shots of the Windsor Pro reveal that the new variant will feature distinct alloy wheel designs and an ADAS badge on the tailgate. While the overall design remains similar to the smaller-battery Windsor, it will maintain sleek features such as connected headlamps, fog lamp clusters, a closed-off grille with the MG logo, a steeply raked windscreen, and full-width LED light bars. Additionally, MG might introduce new exterior colour options alongside the existing shades: Starburst Black, Pearl White, Turquoise Green, and Clay Beige.
MG Windsor Pro Price Expectations
The MG Windsor Pro EV is expected to start at around ₹17 lakh (ex-showroom). This pricing would place it in competition with the higher trims of the Toyota Innova Crysta and the lower variants of the Toyota Innova Hycross.
Stay tuned for the official launch tomorrow as MG reveals the full details, including the exact price and availability of the Windsor Pro.
