Tata Altroz Facelift Launched in India from ₹6.89 Lakh – Gets Major Design and Feature Upgrades

Tata Motors has officially launched the updated Altroz facelift in India, marking the first major design refresh for the premium hatchback. Bookings are set to open on June 2, with deliveries expected to begin shortly after.

Pricing and Variants

The new Tata Altroz facelift is priced from ₹6.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the entry-level Smart Petrol MT variant, going up to ₹11.29 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec Accomplished+ S Diesel MT. Tata has also revised its trim structure, now organizing variants under distinct “Personas” to align with its premium product lineup.

Color Options

The Altroz facelift is available in five color choices:

  • Dune Glow (hero/launch color)
  • Ember Glow
  • Royal Blue
  • Pure Grey
  • Pristine White

While Dune Glow grabs attention as the signature launch color, Ember Glow stands out for its style, and Pristine White is likely to appeal to a broader Indian audience.

Exterior Updates

The updated Altroz gets a bold new front fascia with:

  • Sleek LED headlamps
  • Integrated LED DRLs
  • LED fog lamps
  • A blacked-out upper grille connecting the headlights
  • A redesigned bumper with sporty air intakes

At the sides, Tata introduces flush door handles—a segment-first feature borrowed from the upcoming Curvv SUV—and stylish R16 alloy wheels with a Drag cut design. At the rear, it now features connected Infinity LED tail lamps and a reworked bumper for a sportier, more aggressive stance.

Interior and Features

Inside, the Altroz facelift gets a comprehensive refresh:

  • A new dashboard layout
  • A 10.2-inch full-digital TFT instrument cluster with full-screen navigation
  • A 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo
  • Touch-and-toggle climate control panel
  • A revamped center console with new gear selectors for automatic variants

Comfort and Convenience Features

The seats offer better thigh support for enhanced comfort. Carryover features from the pre-facelift model include:

  • 10.2-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Rear AC vents
  • Front and rear armrests
  • Voice-activated sunroof
  • Connected car tech
  • Keyless entry with push-button start
  • Wireless phone charger
  • 65W USB fast chargers
  • 360-degree camera
  • Blind spot monitoring

Safety Upgrades

The Altroz facelift raises the bar on safety with 6 airbags standard across all variants. It also retains a 5-star Global NCAP crash safety rating, making it the only hatchback in its class to do so. Other safety features include:

  • ESP
  • ABS with EBD
  • Reinforced body shell

Engine and Transmission Options

The Altroz facelift is offered with two engine choices:

  • 1.2L 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol
  • 1.5L 4-cylinder turbo diesel

Tata has dropped the turbo petrol engine for now. However, the petrol version is available with Tata’s i-CNG dual-cylinder tech, offering better boot space. Transmission options include:

  • 5-speed manual (MT)
  • 5-speed AMT
  • 6-speed DCA (Dual-Clutch Automatic)

What’s Next? Altroz Racer Still Awaited

While this facelift focuses on the standard variants, Tata has yet to unveil the Altroz Racer, which is expected to bring additional features like rear disc brakes, ventilated front seats, and the 1.2L turbo petrol engine.
