Kawasaki has launched the 2026 Kawasaki Z650RS in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 7.83 lakh. The neo-retro motorcycle does not receive any major mechanical updates, but it has now been made E20 fuel-compliant, in line with the brand’s ongoing updates across its 650cc line-up. Along with this change, the bike also gets a fresh colour option for the new model year.
The biggest visual update on the 2026 Z650RS is the new metallic blue and gold paint scheme. This replaces the earlier black and gold colourway. While the graphics remain the same, the combination works well with the bike’s retro design, and the gold alloy wheels continue to add a premium touch. Overall, the styling remains classic and familiar, which is one of the key reasons the Z650RS appeals to buyers.
Mechanically, the Kawasaki Z650RS stays unchanged. It is powered by the same 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The motor produces 68hp and 62.1Nm of torque. However, compared to the outgoing model, peak torque is now 1.9Nm lower, likely due to the updates required for E20 compatibility. That said, performance is expected to feel largely similar in everyday riding conditions.
In terms of pricing, the 2026 Kawasaki Z650RS price in India is Rs 7.83 lakh, making it Rs 14,000 more expensive than the previous version, which was priced at Rs 7.69 lakh. With its retro styling, proven engine and now E20 compliance, the Z650RS continues to be a solid option in the middleweight neo-retro motorcycle segment.
