Aprilia has launched the new SXR GT 125 and SXR GT 175 in India, bringing back its maxi-scooter range with updated engines, larger wheels and new features. The SXR GT 125 is priced at ₹1.11 lakh, while the SXR GT 175 costs ₹1.31 lakh, with both prices being ex-showroom Delhi. Bookings are now open at Aprilia dealerships across India.
The biggest change is the move to 14-inch wheels, up from the 12-inch units used on the earlier SXR scooters. Aprilia says the larger wheels are aimed at improving stability and ride comfort, particularly on longer rides. Both scooters retain the maxi-scooter design and get the brand's signature Tripod LED headlamp.
The SXR GT 125 uses a 124.5cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing around 10.6hp and 10.4Nm. The larger SXR GT 175 gets a 174.7cc engine developing around 13.3hp and 14.1Nm. Both engines use electronic fuel injection and are BS6 OBD-II Stage B compliant, while also supporting E20 petrol.
The 175cc version gets more equipment, including a 5-inch TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, music and call controls, and turn-by-turn navigation. It also gets a 220mm front disc with ABS. The SXR GT 125 uses a 5-inch LCD console and gets CBS with its 220mm front disc. Both scooters have a 140mm rear drum brake.
Aprilia is also offering touring-focused accessories such as an adjustable windscreen, crash guard and top box. The SXR GT 125 is available in Matte Black, Glossy Azzurro and Glossy White, while the 175 comes in Metallic Blue, Matte Black and Matte Green.
With the Aprilia SXR GT 125 and 175, the company is targeting buyers looking for a maxi-scooter that can handle everyday commuting as well as longer rides.
