Ather Energy has announced a major expansion of its service network, reaching 500 authorised service centres across India. The company has almost doubled its service footprint in FY26, growing from 277 centres to 500, aiming to improve the overall ownership experience for its electric scooter customers.
This expansion aligns with Ather’s rapid retail growth, ensuring that every city where the brand sells its scooters also has dedicated service support. Strong after-sales service remains an important factor for EV buyers, especially in Tier-2 and emerging cities, where concerns around maintenance, spare parts availability, and service turnaround times are still common.
To enhance customer experience, Ather has introduced Gold Service Centres, which feature modern equipment, improved service infrastructure, and better customer lounges. These upgrades are designed to make servicing more transparent and efficient for users.
Another key highlight is Ather’s ExpressCare initiative, which offers 60-minute periodic maintenance service. This quick service option is currently available at 82 service centres, helping customers reduce downtime and get faster support.
In addition to service expansion, Ather has also been strengthening its charging and retail infrastructure. As of 31 December 2025, the company has installed over 4,357 fast-charging points and neighbourhood chargers globally. Its retail presence has also grown to around 600 Experience Centres, further supporting its expanding customer base.
With this move, Ather aims to address one of the key concerns in the EV segment — reliable after-sales service. The expansion of service centres, along with faster maintenance options, is expected to boost confidence among buyers considering electric scooters in India.
