BMW F 450 GS Pre-bookings Open in India Ahead of Launch

BMW Motorrad has started pre-bookings for the new BMW F 450 GS in India, ahead of its official launch on April 23. Interested buyers can reserve the motorcycle at authorized dealerships across the country.

The F 450 GS will replace the outgoing BMW G 310 GS and is positioned as a more powerful and capable option in the entry-level adventure segment. It will compete with models like the KTM 390 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.

In terms of design, the motorcycle carries BMW’s signature GS styling, inspired by the larger BMW R 1300 GS. It features a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup with dual-purpose tyres, making it suitable for both on-road and off-road riding.

Powering the F 450 GS is a 420cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 48bhp and 43Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and comes equipped with a slipper clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter as standard. A unique 135-degree firing order is expected to improve performance and engine character.

The bike will be available in four variants – Basic, Exclusive, Sport, and GS Trophy. The GS Trophy variant is designed for off-road enthusiasts and comes with features like tubeless wire-spoke wheels and off-road-focused tyres.

The BMW F 450 GS is expected to be priced at around ₹5 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a competitive option in its segment.
