BMW F 450 GS Production Begins at TVS Motor Company in India

BMW Motorrad and TVS Motor Company have officially begun production of the BMW F 450 GS in India. The new adventure motorcycle is being manufactured at TVS’s Hosur plant near Bangalore, marking an important milestone in the ongoing collaboration between the two brands.

The BMW F 450 GS replaces the G 310 GS as BMW’s entry-level adventure bike, offering riders a more capable and modern option for touring and off-road riding. Built on a sturdy tubular steel frame, the bike features a 43 mm KYB upside-down front fork and a rear mono-shock, providing 180 mm of travel for a balanced and comfortable ride.

Under the hood, the F 450 GS is powered by a 450cc twin-cylinder engine delivering 47.5 BHP at 8,750 rpm and 43 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, ensuring smooth performance both on highways and winding trails.

TVS and BMW Motorrad also celebrated a new production milestone of 200,000 units under their partnership. KN Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO of TVS Motor Company, said, “Today, as we celebrate the 200,000 unit milestone, we also mark the dawn of a new era with the rollout of BMW F 450 GS that was recently showcased at EICMA 2025. The newly introduced BMW F 450 GS highlights TVS Motor’s state-of-the-art manufacturing excellence in producing high-end motorcycles.”

With the BMW F 450 GS now rolling off the production line in India, adventure motorcycle enthusiasts have a compelling new option that combines BMW’s engineering expertise with TVS’s manufacturing precision. The bike is expected to make a strong impression in the entry-level adventure segment, catering to both new riders and experienced enthusiasts looking for a reliable and capable machine.
