Ducati India has officially teased the Ducati XDiavel V4 ahead of its India launch, indicating that the brand’s most relaxed V4-powered cruiser is set to arrive soon. The XDiavel V4 was unveiled globally earlier this year, and the teaser shared on Ducati India’s social media channels confirms that the motorcycle is now lined up for the Indian market.
Positioned as the more laid-back sibling of the Ducati Diavel V4, the XDiavel V4 focuses on comfort-oriented ergonomics while retaining Ducati’s trademark performance. Rather than dialling down power, Ducati has simply reworked the riding posture to suit long-distance cruising and relaxed highway rides.
Ducati XDiavel V4 Engine and Performance
The Ducati XDiavel V4 is powered by the same 1,158cc V4 engine as the Diavel V4. This engine produces 168hp and 126Nm of torque, ensuring strong performance across the rev range. Unlike the older XDiavel 1260, which used a belt drive, the new XDiavel V4 now features a chain drive. The braking system, suspension setup and core chassis components are also shared with the Diavel V4.
More Relaxed Ergonomics and Cruiser Styling
The key difference between the two motorcycles lies in their ergonomics. The XDiavel V4 comes with forward-set footpegs, a wider and swept-back handlebar, and a more relaxed rider’s triangle. Ducati will also offer mid-mounted footpegs as an accessory for riders who prefer a sportier stance.
The seat height is set at 770mm, which is 20mm lower than the Diavel V4, making the XDiavel more approachable. The global-spec motorcycle weighs 226kg without fuel, around 6kg more than the Diavel V4. Unique alloy wheel designs and smoother bodywork give the XDiavel V4 a more flowing cruiser silhouette.
Electronics and TFT Display
In terms of electronics, the Ducati XDiavel V4 shares its rider aids with the Diavel V4. A major highlight is the larger 6.9-inch TFT display, borrowed from the Panigale V4 and Streetfighter V4, which enhances both visibility and overall premium appeal.
