Harley-Davidson X440 T Launched in India at Rs 2.79 Lakh

Harley-Davidson has introduced the new X440 T in India, priced at Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned as an updated and more feature-rich version of the Harley-Davidson X440, the new model aims to improve both design and everyday usability. It is available in a single variant and comes in four colours — Pearl Blue, Pearl Red, Pearl White, and Vivid Black.

One of the main concerns with the original X440 was its tail-section styling. Harley-Davidson has addressed this by giving the X440 T a redesigned sub-frame and a cleaner tail section, resulting in a more balanced and cohesive look. The overall stance remains familiar, but the updated rear design gives the bike a more premium feel.

The X440 T also gets meaningful feature upgrades. It now comes equipped with ride-by-wire throttle, switchable traction control, and switchable rear ABS. These additions have allowed Harley-Davidson to offer two ride modes — Road and Rain — to suit different riding conditions. Another useful update is a segment-first panic braking alert, which flashes all indicators during emergency braking to warn vehicles behind.

Mechanically, the X440 T remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by the 440cc air/oil-cooled engine, producing 27 bhp and 38 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. This setup has already proven to be smooth and torquey in the standard X440, making it suitable for city commuting as well as relaxed highway cruising.

Bookings for the Harley-Davidson X440 T start from 7 December at Harley-Davidson and Hero Premia dealerships across India. Deliveries are expected to begin soon. With its updated styling and added features, the Harley-Davidson X440 T should appeal to buyers looking for a modern, easy-to-ride premium motorcycle in the 400cc segment.
