Hero MotoCorp’s electric sub-brand Vida has officially entered the off-road electric motorcycle segment with the launch of the DIRT.E K3, the first model under its new DIRT.E off-road lineup. Designed specifically for young riders aged 4 to 10, the DIRT.E K3 focuses on introducing children to motorcycling in a safe, structured and sustainable way.
Built around Vida’s philosophy of “Wild beyond the Ride”, the DIRT.E K3 combines electric performance, thoughtful safety features and a unique size-adjustable platform that grows along with the rider.
Size-Adjustable Electric Dirt Bike That Grows With Your Child
One of the standout features of the Hero Vida DIRT.E K3 is its three-stage adjustable platform. The bike can be configured in Small, Medium and Large sizes using a single tool, allowing parents to resize it quickly as the child grows.
Unlike conventional kids’ motorcycles that are outgrown within a year or two, the DIRT.E K3 maintains consistent ergonomics across multiple growth stages. This approach helps young riders:
Develop correct riding posture early
Build confidence gradually
Retain familiarity with the same motorcycle over time
Electric Motor, Battery and Riding Modes
Powering the DIRT.E K3 is a 350W continuous / 500W peak electric motor, paired with a 360Wh removable battery. The battery can be easily detached and charged at home, taking about three hours for a full charge.
Key performance highlights:
Up to 3 hours of riding time (depending on terrain and mode)
Sealed battery enclosure for durability
Magnetic charging connector for safety and ease of use
The electric dirt bike comes with three riding modes to support skill progression:
Beginner: 8 km/h
Amateur: 16 km/h
Pro: 25 km/h
These modes allow children to advance at a controlled pace as their confidence and ability improve.
Off-Road Hardware and Child-Focused Safety Features
Despite being designed for kids, the DIRT.E K3 mirrors the stance and proportions of a real off-road motorcycle, helping young riders learn proper technique from the start.
Off-road and safety highlights:
16-inch spoked wheel
Single rear hydraulic disc brake, reducing the risk of front-wheel washout
Adjustable frame with varying height and wheelbase
Child-sized brake lever and impact-absorbing components
Magnetic lanyard kill switch that cuts power if the rider falls off
Parents also get added peace of mind through app-enabled controls, which allow supervision of:
Speed limits
Riding modes
