Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition Unveiled With New Features

Hero MotoCorp has introduced the Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition, further enhancing its 160cc motorcycle portfolio. This newly launched variant now sits at the top of the Xtreme 160R 4V lineup and is priced at Rs 1.34 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is Rs 4,485 higher than the standard model. However, buyers receive several noteworthy upgrades for the additional price.

The standout feature is cruise control, a first for this segment. To enable this, Hero has equipped the Combat Edition with a ride-by-wire throttle system, delivering smoother throttle response and unlocking three selectable riding modes: Rain, Road, and Sport. These modes can be toggled through updated switchgear. The motorcycle also features a new colour LCD display, sourced from the Xtreme 250R, offering clearer and more accessible information to the rider.

Visually, the Combat Edition sports a redesigned LED headlight inspired by the Xtreme 250R, along with a choice of four colour options: dual-tone bronze-and-black, forest green with neon accents, black with red highlights, and the Combat Edition’s exclusive matte grey finish.

Mechanically, the bike remains unchanged from the standard model. It continues to use the 163.2cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine, producing 16.9hp at 8,500rpm and 14.6Nm at 6,500rpm. Ride quality and handling dynamics are retained, making it well-suited for urban commuting.

With the addition of features like cruise control and multiple riding modes, the Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition sets a new benchmark in the 160cc segment, offering a compelling alternative to rivals such as the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Bajaj Pulsar N160.
