Skoda India is offering benefits of up to Rs 50,000 on the Kylaq as the compact SUV crosses the 50,000-unit sales mark. To mark the occasion, the carmaker is also giving a 50 percent discount on a one-year Skoda Maintenance Package. In addition, all customers purchasing the Kylaq during this period will receive an assured gift. These offers are available until February 28, 2026.
The Kylaq has quickly become one of Skoda’s most important models in India. It is the brand’s most affordable offering and its only model in the sub-4m compact SUV segment, which continues to see strong demand. In fact, the Kylaq contributed close to 62 percent of Skoda’s total sales in India last year. Changes to GST rules for sub-4m vehicles, which led to lower taxes and reduced prices, have further improved the SUV’s appeal among buyers.
What makes this achievement more notable is the speed at which it was reached. The Kylaq crossed the 50,000-unit mark in just 13 months, making it the fastest Skoda model in India to do so. To meet the growing demand, Skoda has increased production capacity at its Chakan facility by 30 percent.
The carmaker has also been updating the Kylaq lineup. Two new trims were introduced recently to offer more features and better value in the lower and mid variants. A new top-spec Sportline trim is also expected to join the range later this year, likely bringing cosmetic updates and a sportier look.
Powering the Kylaq is a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that delivers 115hp and 178Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Prices for the compact SUV currently range from Rs 7.59 lakh to Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Volkswagen is also expected to introduce its own version of the Kylaq in 2027, underlining the model’s success and importance within the group.
