Bajaj Auto has introduced a major update to its Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooter lineup. The refreshed range now comes with improved performance, added features, and a new naming structure.
The updated lineup follows a new “C series” format, with models named C25, C30, and C35. This change makes the range easier to understand while clearly separating variants based on performance and features.
One of the key highlights is the increase in top speed across all variants. The C35 01 and C35 02 now reach up to 80kmph, while the C35 03 and C30 01 offer a top speed of 70kmph. The entry-level C25 01 is tuned for city use with a top speed of 60kmph.
Performance has also improved in the higher variants. The flagship C35 model now gets a more powerful motor, upgraded from 4.5kW to 4.8kW. This should result in better acceleration and smoother riding experience.
Charging time has been reduced as well. The C30 01 variant can now charge from 0 to 80 per cent in just 2 hours and 55 minutes, making it more convenient for daily use.
In terms of features, Bajaj has added ride modes such as Eco and Sport, along with hill-hold assist as standard on the C30 and C35 series. These were earlier offered as optional add-ons. The top variants, C35 01 and C35 02, also support over-the-air (OTA) updates, allowing software upgrades without visiting a service centre.
Additionally, integrated navigation through Google Maps is now available on the top-spec model via the Chetak app.
