Kia India has expanded its Syros range with the launch of a new HTK (EX) variant. Priced at Rs. 9.89 lakh (ex-showroom), this trim has been positioned above the standard HTK and is aimed at buyers who want a few more features without moving to the higher, more expensive variants.
The Syros HTK (EX) is available with both petrol and diesel engine options, giving customers the flexibility to choose a powertrain that suits their driving needs. There are no mechanical updates with this addition, as Kia has focused mainly on improving comfort, convenience and overall appeal.
In terms of exterior updates, the HTK (EX) gets LED daytime running lights, LED headlamps and LED tail lamps. It also comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, which add a slightly more premium look compared to the lower trim. Other notable design elements include flush-fitting door handles, a feature usually seen on higher variants.
Inside the cabin, the Syros HTK (EX) offers a good mix of tech and practicality. Key highlights include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an electric sunroof, and electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs. Parking is made easier with the addition of a rear parking camera along with sensors.
On the safety side, the variant is well equipped. It gets six airbags as standard, along with ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist and Vehicle Stability Management.
Power comes from the same engines as the rest of the range. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine produces 118bhp and 172Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre diesel puts out 114bhp and 250Nm. Both engines are offered with manual and automatic gearbox options.
Alongside this, Kia has also introduced a new HTE (EX) variant for the Carens Clavis, priced at Rs. 12.55 lakh (ex-showroom), further strengthening its lineup across segments.
