Mahindra has released a fresh teaser of the upcoming XUV 7XO, giving us our first proper look at the SUV’s interior. With prices set to be announced on 6 January, the latest teaser builds anticipation around what is expected to be a more premium and tech-focused update to the XUV700. Pre-bookings for the XUV 7XO are already open, with customers required to pay an initial amount of Rs. 21,000.
The highlight of the newly revealed cabin is the dual-tone beige and brown interior theme. This is a first for a Mahindra SUV and brings a noticeably lighter and more upmarket feel to the cabin. Compared to the darker interiors seen on current Mahindra models, this new colour scheme should make the interior feel more spacious and welcoming, especially for family buyers.
Another major update is the dashboard-mounted triple-screen layout. This setup, already seen on Mahindra’s new electric models like the XEV 9S and XEV 9e, makes its way into the XUV 7XO as well. The three screens are expected to cover the digital instrument cluster, infotainment system, and a dedicated passenger display, adding a strong tech-forward touch to the interior.
The teaser also confirms several comfort and convenience features. These include ambient lighting on the dashboard and door pads, a redesigned steering wheel, and dual-tone leatherette upholstery. For rear-seat passengers, Mahindra has added rear-window blinds and an electric boss mode, which allows the second-row seat to be adjusted for extra legroom and comfort.
Earlier teasers have already revealed changes to the exterior styling. The XUV 7XO will get full-width LED DRLs, a redesigned front grille, new dual-tone alloy wheels, and updated tail lamps with honeycomb-inspired elements. While the overall shape remains familiar, these updates should help the SUV look fresher and more modern.
In terms of features, the XUV 7XO will continue to offer popular equipment from the XUV700. These include a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, third-row seating, and a comprehensive Level 2 ADAS suite.
Mechanically, no major changes are expected. The XUV 7XO is likely to retain the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines, both offered with manual and automatic transmission options.
