Mercedes-Benz is set to launch the new Mercedes-Benz CLA BEV in India tomorrow. This all-electric sedan will be offered in two variants and marks the brand’s continued push in the EV segment.
The new CLA will be available with two battery options – 58kWh and 85.5kWh. These will be offered in the CLA 200 Standard and CLA 250+ Long Range variants. The claimed driving range stands at 542km for the standard version and up to 792km for the long-range variant, making it one of the more range-focused EVs in its class.
Built on an advanced 800V architecture, the CLA supports fast charging capabilities. With a 240kW charger, it can add up to 400km of range in just 20 minutes, which should help reduce charging time during long trips.
In terms of features, the electric sedan comes well-equipped. It includes Level 2 ADAS, a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a panoramic sunroof. Comfort features include front seats with a massage function, wireless charging, and multiple Type-C ports. The car also gets LED lighting elements, an illuminated grille, flush door handles, and 18-inch AMG alloy wheels.
The CLA BEV will be available in five colour options, including Polar White, Cosmic Black, Clear Blue, Alpine Grey, and Patagonia Red.
Deliveries of the new Mercedes-Benz CLA electric are expected to begin next month, making it one of the key EV launches in India this year.
