TVS Ntorq 125 Achieves Major Milestone: 2 Million Units Sold, Ntorq 150 Launching Soon
TVS Motor Company is on a high with its Ntorq 125, which has reached an impressive milestone, surpassing 2 million units sold in the domestic market by May 2025. To add to its success, more than 300,000 units have been sold internationally by the end of FY2025. Riding the wave of this achievement, TVS is now preparing to launch the Ntorq 150 later this year, as part of its strategy to expand its scooter lineup. The new model is expected to hit the market around the festive season, promising to further strengthen TVS’ presence in the two-wheeler segment.
Ntorq 125: A Key Player in TVS’ Success
Since its debut in February 2018, the Ntorq 125 has been a vital part of TVS Motor’s success, contributing 23% to the company’s overall scooter sales. Despite increasing competition, it continues to hold strong as the second-best-selling scooter for TVS, trailing only behind the Jupiter series. In FY2025, the Ntorq 125 sold 334,414 units, reflecting a 6% growth from the previous fiscal year. This accounted for 18% of TVS’ record-breaking scooter sales of 1.81 million units.
Shifting Market Share
However, the Ntorq 125’s market share has experienced a decline, from 29% in FY2022 to 23% in FY2025. This decrease can be attributed to the rising popularity of other models, particularly the Jupiter, which now holds a dominant 61% market share, and the iQube, which claims 15% in FY2025. Despite this shift, the Ntorq remains a key player in TVS’ portfolio, ranking as India’s fourth best-selling scooter for FY2025. It narrowly edged out the Honda Dio by just 13,194 units and also stood as the fourth most-exported scooter, with 64,988 units shipped overseas in the same period.
Variants & Features
TVS has kept the Ntorq 125 fresh and appealing through multiple variants, including Disc, Race Edition, Super Squad Edition, Race XP, and XT. Prices for the scooter range from ₹87,542 to ₹1.07 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Race XP variant stands out with a more powerful engine, offering 10.2 hp and 10.8 Nm of torque, compared to the other variants, which produce 9.4 hp and 10.5 Nm.
The XT variant, the top-of-the-line model, comes equipped with a TFT display offering additional features beyond the basic LCD dashboards seen on other versions. Meanwhile, the Disc, Race Edition, and Super Squad Edition primarily differentiate themselves through cosmetic updates, allowing the Ntorq to cater to various customer preferences.

Ntorq 150: What’s Next?
Looking ahead, TVS is set to launch the Ntorq 150, which will enter the higher-power scooter market. Expected to compete with the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Hero Xoom 160, the Ntorq 150 will build on the Ntorq’s sporty styling, potentially incorporating larger wheels and performance upgrades. TVS aims to deliver a comprehensive feature set and premium build quality, targeting customers looking to upgrade to more powerful scooters. This move aligns with TVS’ broader strategy to challenge rivals like Yamaha and Aprilia in this growing segment.
TVS’ Growing Market Share
TVS Motor Company has seen notable growth in market share in recent years, thanks to the continued success of models like the Jupiter and Ntorq, alongside strategic launches aimed at meeting the evolving needs of Indian consumers. As TVS prepares to expand its scooter offerings, the Ntorq 150 is expected to play a crucial role in further solidifying its position in the competitive two-wheeler landscape.
