Skoda Kodiaq has received a model year update for 2026, bringing a few important feature additions to the premium SUV. The biggest highlight is the introduction of an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite on select variants. Along with this, Skoda has also made some premium features more accessible in the line-up.
The updated Skoda Kodiaq is expected to strengthen its position in the premium SUV segment in India. While the company has not yet announced the prices for the 2026 model, the added technology and safety features are likely to attract buyers looking for a family SUV with modern equipment.
One of the key updates in the 2026 Skoda Kodiaq is the addition of ADAS features. The SUV now gets seven driver assistance functions, including adaptive cruise control, adaptive headlights, frontal assist with warning and braking, lane keep assist, blind spot detection, rear traffic alert, and exit warning. These features are available on the Sportline and Selection L&K variants.
With this update, the Kodiaq becomes the only Skoda car currently on sale in India to offer ADAS technology. It also helps the SUV compete more closely with rivals like the Volkswagen Tayron, which also offers similar safety systems.
Apart from the ADAS package, Skoda has added a 360-degree camera and grille-mounted LED light strip to the mid-spec Sportline variant. Earlier, these features were limited to the top-spec Selection L&K trim. The base Lounge 5-seater variant remains unchanged in the 2026 update.
Mechanically, there are no changes to the SUV. The 2026 Skoda Kodiaq continues with the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 204hp and 320Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and power is sent to all four wheels through an all-wheel-drive system.
The Skoda Kodiaq has always been known for its premium cabin, comfortable ride quality, and practical three-row layout. With the addition of ADAS and more convenience features, the 2026 model now offers better value for buyers looking for a feature-rich luxury SUV in India.
