Hyundai recorded 54,396 units in August 2026, registering 24% year-on-year growth compared with 44,001 units sold in August 2025. Sales were almost flat compared with July 2026, when the company recorded 54,210 units.
The Hyundai Creta remained the brand’s best-selling model in August, with 16,288 units. Its sales increased by 2% year-on-year, although volumes were 10% lower than in July.

The Hyundai Venue was the second-best-selling model with 11,365 units, up 40% from the previous year. The Exter followed with 8,157 units and recorded the strongest major-model growth at 61% year-on-year.
The Aura registered 6,685 units, while the Grand i10 recorded 5,342 units. Both models also posted healthy gains compared with August 2025. The i20 Elite recorded 5,165 units, up 42% year-on-year, although its monthly sales declined by 23%.
At the other end of the range, the Alcazar and Verna continued to see weaker demand. Their sales fell 28% and 31%, respectively, compared with August 2025.
Overall, Hyundai car sales in August 2026 show that the company’s annual growth was largely supported by its smaller models. The Creta continued to lead the portfolio, while the Venue, Exter, Aura and Grand i10 provided strong support to Hyundai’s overall sales performance.
