Design-wise, the 2026 Kia Seltos looks noticeably more upright and boxier than before. It follows Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design language and features sharp vertical LED DRLs, a wide grille housing the main headlight units, gloss black cladding, flush door handles, and a connected LED tail-lamp setup. The SUV has also grown in size, with a longer wheelbase that should translate into improved cabin space.
Inside, the new Seltos feels more premium than the outgoing model. The highlight is the twin 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster, separated by a slim HVAC display. The cabin also gets a new steering wheel, better materials, and a cleaner dashboard layout. Features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting, a Bose sound system, and a 360-degree camera.
Safety has also been given importance. The new Kia Seltos comes with six airbags as standard, ESC, disc brakes on all wheels, TPMS, ISOFIX mounts, and Level 2 ADAS on higher variants. Kia has also improved bodyshell rigidity, which could help the SUV score well in Bharat NCAP crash tests.
Under the bonnet, the Kia Seltos engine options remain unchanged. Buyers can choose from a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre diesel, or a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, paired with multiple manual and automatic gearbox options. Kia has also confirmed that a hybrid Kia Seltos is in the pipeline and is expected to arrive in the coming years.
