Nissan Motor India Gravite Deliveries Begin Across India

Nissan India has officially started deliveries of the Nissan Gravite across the country. The sub-four-metre MPV was launched last month with a starting price of Rs. 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom). After arriving at dealerships recently, customer handovers have now commenced on a pan-India level.

The Nissan Gravite shares its platform with the Renault Triber, making it a practical and affordable option in the compact MPV segment. It is powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. This motor produces 71bhp and 96Nm of torque and is offered with both a five-speed manual gearbox and an AMT option. Nissan claims a fuel efficiency of up to 19.6kmpl.

The Gravite is available in five variants and comes in five exterior colour options. With its competitive pricing and flexible seating layout, the MPV targets budget-conscious family buyers looking for a spacious yet compact vehicle.

Looking ahead, the Gravite marks an important step in Nissan’s product strategy for India. The company has confirmed plans to introduce two new models in the near future. One of them will be a derivative based on the Renault Duster platform, likely to be called the Tekton. A three-row SUV based on the same architecture is also under development.

While Nissan has ruled out a turbo-petrol variant for the Gravite, a CNG version is expected to launch soon. The CNG model, which was showcased with dual tanks, could further improve running costs and appeal to value-focused buyers.

With deliveries now underway, the Nissan Gravite enters the market as a strong contender in the affordable MPV space.
