Rolls-Royce is getting ready to expand its electric line-up with a brand-new electric SUV, expected to make its global debut sometime in 2026. This will be the British luxury brand’s second fully electric model after the Spectre, and also its second SUV following the Cullinan. The new electric SUV is likely to go on sale internationally in 2027 and will take on Bentley’s first electric SUV, which is also due around the same time.
Earlier reports had suggested a 2025 debut, but Rolls-Royce appears to have revised its plans. Recent spy sightings indicate that development is moving steadily, with test mules spotted during winter testing in Sweden at BMW Group’s facilities.
In terms of size and overall shape, the electric SUV looks similar to the Cullinan. It has a boxy and upright stance, which is in line with Rolls-Royce’s traditional design approach. Up front, the SUV features a split-headlight setup, much like the Spectre, with slim LED daytime running lights and the main lamps positioned lower. Interestingly, the brand’s signature Pantheon grille seems to be missing, suggesting a cleaner, more modern front design.
From the side, the SUV appears quite squared-off, though the low ground clearance gives it a slightly estate-like look rather than a rugged SUV profile. Roof rails are visible, and at the rear, the vehicle gets vertical LED tail-lamps, a mildly sloping D-pillar and a subtle roof spoiler.
The upcoming electric SUV will sit on Rolls-Royce’s Architecture of Luxury platform, which underpins all its current models. Powertrain details are still unclear, but it could share components with BMW’s upcoming electric technology or even use the same dual-motor setup as the Spectre. More details are expected closer to its official reveal.
