Tata Motors has announced an ambitious product plan for FY27, with six new launches lined up across its ICE and electric vehicle portfolio. The company is preparing a mix of new EVs, facelifts, and premium offerings as it looks to strengthen its position in the Indian passenger vehicle market.
The first major launch in this pipeline will be the much-awaited Tata Sierra EV, which is scheduled to arrive in the second quarter of the financial year. The Sierra EV has already generated strong interest thanks to its modern design and the revival of the iconic Sierra nameplate.
Tata will also introduce two ICE facelifts and two EV facelifts during FY27. While the company has not officially confirmed the models, updates for the Tata Nexon and Tata Nexon EV are expected. Both models have been on sale in their current form for nearly three years, and refreshed versions could help Tata stay competitive in the crowded SUV segment.
Another likely candidate for an update is the Tata Tiago EV, as test vehicles have been spotted on Indian roads in recent months.
Tata is also preparing to launch the Tata Safari EV during the festive season. The electric SUV is expected to compete with premium electric SUVs from rivals like Mahindra.
The biggest highlight, however, could be the debut of Tata’s premium Avinya range. The company is expected to showcase the brand prominently at the 2027 Bharat Mobility Expo, with the first Avinya SUV likely to be priced between Rs. 40 lakh and Rs. 50 lakh.
