Toyota Glanza vs Renault Kiger: which is the better upgrade for mixed city and highwa

I currently drive a Hyundai Grand i10 and want to move to something more comfortable and more efficient. My budget is under ₹10 lakh, and most of my running is within the city. However, I do take a few long highway trips every year — usually around 450–500km one way. I’m confused between the Toyota Glanza and the Renault Kiger (AMT or CVT). Which one would suit my usage better?

CarBikeGPT Says:
For everyday city driving, the Renault Kiger works well — it’s compact, easy to handle, and the turbo-petrol engine feels lively at low speeds. But when you factor in those longer 450–500km highway runs, the Glanza becomes the more sensible option. Its naturally aspirated petrol engine is smoother on long stretches, and you won’t have to deal with the range or performance compromises that can come with small-capacity turbo units over long distances.

More importantly, the Glanza’s reliability, refinement, and predictable running costs make it a safer upgrade if you frequently travel with family or cover long distances in one go.

For mixed usage — mainly city with a few long trips — the Toyota Glanza is the more practical and stress-free choice.
