2026 MG Hector Facelift Launched At Rs 11.99 Lakh

JSW MG Motor India just launched the 2026 MG Hector facelift, kicking things off at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s the third big update for the Hector since it hit the market in 2019, after previous facelifts in 2021 and 2023. This time, MG has spruced up the SUV’s design, refreshed the cabin, and packed in better tech - while sticking to the tried-and-tested mechanicals.

You get the Hector facelift in both 5-seat and 7-seat options now. The old 6-seat version with captain seats? That’s gone. Pricing runs from Rs 11.99 lakh all the way to Rs 19.49 lakh, depending on which variant you pick.

Take a look at the front and you’ll spot the new Aura Hex grille with bold, chrome-finished vertical slats. It gives the Hector a much tougher, more upright stance. The front bumper got a makeover too, with a bigger central air intake and some sharp silver accents. MG’s made the front end look a bit more imposing this time around.

Not much has changed along the sides, except for the fresh 16-inch Aura Bolt dual-tone alloy wheels. At the back, updates are subtle - a tweaked bumper and that’s about it. MG also rolled out a new blue paint option, so there’s a bit more color to choose from now.

Step inside, and you’ll notice the new dual-tone beige-and-black interior theme replacing the old ivory-black and brown-black combos. The dashboard and overall layout? Still familiar, which longtime Hector fans will appreciate.

For features, the touchscreen system got a boost. Screen size stays the same, but now you can use multi-finger swipe gestures - two fingers to adjust the AC, three fingers to skip tracks or tweak the brightness. MG also bumped up the system’s RAM for smoother performance. The 360-degree camera now offers a wheel-view feature to make tight parking less of a headache.

Under the hood, nothing’s changed. The 2026 Hector sticks with the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, paired with either a manual or CVT automatic gearbox. MG hasn’t said yet if the diesel will make a comeback.

In the crowded midsize SUV space, the Hector facelift is up against some big names: the upcoming Mahindra XUV 7XO, Tata Harrier, Tata Safari, and the Jeep Compass.
