Bentley has officially revealed the new Continental GT Supersports, introducing the most focused and driver-oriented version of the grand tourer to date. This is the fourth model to wear the Supersports badge in the brand’s 100-year history, and Bentley has packed it with some of the biggest changes ever seen on a Continental GT. Only 500 units will be produced, with global orders set to open in March 2026.
At the heart of the update is a major shift in philosophy. For the first time on a road-going Continental GT, Bentley has opted for rear-wheel drive, dropping the usual all-wheel drive hardware to save weight and enhance driver involvement. The new Supersports also sheds mass thanks to a carbon-fibre roof, lighter chassis components and redesigned aero parts. The result is a kerb weight of under 2,000kg, making it the lightest Continental GT yet.
Power comes from a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that develops 657hp and 800Nm, paired with an upgraded 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. While this output is lower than the hybrid-assisted 782hp Continental GT, the Supersports is built with a different purpose – sharper handling, quicker responses and a more connected feel from behind the wheel. Bentley claims a 0-100kph time of 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of around 310kph.
The design updates are impossible to miss. Bentley has fitted the most aggressive aero package ever offered on a road-legal model. A larger splitter, wider bumper and carbon-fibre dive planes lead the way, with new side sills, reworked fender blades and a deep rear diffuser adding to its downforce. A fixed rear wing completes the look and helps generate more than 300kg of extra downforce compared to the Continental GT Speed. Optional Pirelli Trofeo RS tyres and lightweight Manthey Racing-developed 22-inch wheels take the performance even further, allowing the car to achieve up to 1.3g of peak lateral grip.
Inside, Bentley has transitioned to a two-seat layout, replacing the rear bench with a carbon-fibre tub finished in leather. New sports seats sit lower in the cabin, while the materials include a mix of leather, Dinamica and carbon trim. Each car gets a numbered plaque marking its limited-run status.
Production of the Bentley Continental GT Supersports will begin in late 2026, with the first deliveries planned for early 2027. With its lighter build, rear-wheel drive setup and focused engineering, it stands as the most engaging Continental GT ever offered – aimed squarely at enthusiasts who want the purest driving experience Bentley can deliver.
