Citroen Aircross Secures 5-Star Bharat NCAP Safety Rating for Adult Protection

Citroen India has added another feather to its cap as the Citroen Aircross SUV has been awarded a 5-star safety rating for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) in the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat NCAP). This makes it one of the safest SUVs in its segment, further strengthening the brand’s safety-first approach.

The SUV scored 27.05 out of 32 points in adult safety tests and 40 out of 49 points for Child Occupant Protection (COP), which translates into a 4-star child safety rating.

Bharat NCAP Crash Test Results

  • Adult Occupant Protection (AOP): 5 Stars (27.05/32)
  • Child Occupant Protection (COP): 4 Stars (40/49)
  • Overall Structure: Rated stable in both frontal and side impact tests
  • Side Pole Test: Full head protection with curtain airbags

Interestingly, the Aircross is now the 22nd car in India to earn a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, though it holds the lowest adult safety score among the 22 models.

Child Safety Performance
