Hyundai Sells 70,347 Units in September 2025, Creta Hits Record 18,861 Sales

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) posted total sales of 70,347 units in September 2025, up from 64,201 units in September 2024, reflecting a 10% YoY growth. Of these, 51,547 units were sold domestically, with SUVs contributing the highest-ever share to the company’s sales.


Hyundai Creta Hits Record Sales

The Hyundai Creta emerged as the brand’s best-selling model, achieving its highest-ever monthly sales of 18,861 units. The Hyundai Venue also recorded strong numbers, posting its best sales in 20 months with 11,484 units sold.

On the export front, HMIL reported cumulative shipments of 99,540 units between April and September 2025, a 17% YoY increase, showcasing the company’s global market growth.


Market Position

Despite these strong performances, Hyundai slipped to the fourth position among India’s largest car manufacturers, trailing behind:

  • Tata Motors: 59,667 units
  • Mahindra & Mahindra: 56,714 units

Commenting on the sales performance, Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director & COO, HMIL, said:

Our synchronized growth in both domestic and export markets is a true example of double-engine growth. CRETA achieved its highest-ever monthly sales, while exports rose significantly, reinforcing HMIL’s role as Hyundai Motor Company’s global manufacturing hub.”


Price Cuts on Creta & Venue

Following GST 2.0 reforms, Hyundai has revised prices for its SUVs:

  • Hyundai Creta: Prices reduced by up to Rs 72,145. Now ranges from Rs 10.72 lakh – Rs 19.30 lakh, while the Creta N Line is priced between Rs 16.34 lakh – Rs 19.94 lakh.
  • Hyundai Venue: Prices cut by up to Rs 1.23 lakh. Starting price is Rs 7.26 lakh, and the top variant costs Rs 12.04 lakh. The Venue N Line is offered in four trims – N6 MT, N6 AT, N8 MT, and N8 AT – priced at Rs 11.11 lakh, Rs 11.83 lakh, Rs 11.94 lakh, and Rs 12.66 lakh respectively.

All prices mentioned are ex-showroom.


Hyundai’s strong SUV sales, led by the Creta and Venue, reflect growing consumer preference for premium and feature-rich compact SUVs, while GST 2.0 benefits have further boosted affordability and demand.
