Mahindra Crosses 30,000 Electric SUV Sales in Just Seven Months

Mahindra is making waves in the electric SUV market. In just seven months since launching the Mahindra BE 6 and Mahindra XEV 9e, the company has already sold over 30,000 units. That’s a huge number – especially for India’s EV scene – and it shows just how quickly Mahindra’s electric lineup is catching on.

Deliveries kicked off in March 2025. By September, Mahindra had already moved past the 20,000-unit mark. Now, they’ve hit 30,000, which says a lot about how eager buyers are for the new Mahindra Born Electric (BE) series.

Both the Mahindra BE 6 and Mahindra XEV 9e ride on the new INGLO electric platform, built from the ground up for EVs. You get two battery choices, 59kWh and 79kWh, with a claimed range that stretches up to 683km on a single charge. That’s plenty for everyday commutes or long road trips – no range anxiety here.

Design-wise, these SUVs look bold and futuristic, nothing like Mahindra’s old petrol or diesel models. Step inside, and you’ll find tech everywhere: big touchscreens, smart connected features, and a premium finish that feels a notch above the usual.

This sales milestone isn’t just a number for Mahindra – it marks a real shift as the company moves away from traditional ICE vehicles and doubles down on electric. With strong demand and positive feedback rolling in, Mahindra is carving out a serious spot for itself in India’s fast-growing electric SUV scene.

And they’re not hitting the brakes. Later this month, Mahindra plans to launch the XEV 9s, its first electric seven-seater SUV. This new model should appeal to bigger families ready to make the jump to electric, and it’s another sign that Mahindra’s EV range is only getting stronger.

Bottom line: selling 30,000 Mahindra electric SUVs so quickly proves the company’s electric strategy works. With more buyers getting interested, better charging infrastructure popping up, and solid government backing, Mahindra is set to keep building momentum in India’s electric SUV market.
