Mahindra just dropped a new teaser for the XEV 9S, and it’s giving us a better idea of what’s on the way before the big launch on November 27. This time, the focus is all about the interior—and honestly, Mahindra’s aiming high. They’re making it clear the XEV 9S is built for families who want comfort, features, and a little bit of luxury in their EV.
Right away, you notice the Harman Kardon sound system. Music lovers will appreciate that. Then there’s the triple-screen setup stretched across the dashboard, which is probably the flashiest part of the cabin. Mahindra hasn’t spilled all the details yet, but those screens look sharp and make the whole interior feel a lot more high-tech.
Take a closer look and you’ll spot other upgrades too: new window and mirror controls, memory settings for the driver’s seat, and an all-black interior. It’s clear Mahindra wants drivers to feel a step up in quality and convenience.
The XEV 9S matters for another reason—it’s Mahindra’s first three-row electric SUV. Sure, it shares some styling with the XUV700, but this isn’t just an EV version of an old model. Mahindra built it as an electric from the ground up, using their INGLO platform designed specifically for EVs.

Under the skin, the XEV 9S shares a lot with the XEV 9e coupe-SUV: a 282bhp motor, 380Nm of torque, and an LFP battery pack. Mahindra hasn’t shared the official range yet, but with this setup, you can expect solid performance and efficiency—plenty for family trips or daily commutes.
As for price, expect the XEV 9S to land somewhere between Rs 21 lakh and Rs 30 lakh. It’ll go head-to-head with rivals like the Tata Harrier EV and BYD eMAX 7. With more buyers looking for practical, three-row electric SUVs, the XEV 9S is shaping up to be a big deal for Mahindra’s EV lineup.
