MG Motor has released the first teaser of the MG Hector facelift, confirming its debut on December 15. The update will also include the MG Hector Plus facelift, making this the first major revision to the SUV since it arrived in India in 2019. The refreshed model aims to bring updated styling and features as MG prepares for its 2026 lineup.
The teaser highlights the new front design. The biggest change is the revised grille, which replaces the older diamond-pattern setup with a vertical paired-line design finished in chrome. This gives the SUV a more premium and upright look. A new skid plate can also be spotted. The headlamps, LED DRLs, and fog lamps look similar to the current model, keeping the familiar three-part lighting layout.
The side profile remains unchanged, and earlier teasers suggest the rear styling will stay mostly the same as well. However, the 2026 MG Hector may receive newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels to freshen up its appearance.
Inside, MG hasn’t revealed details yet, but the facelift is expected to feature an updated infotainment system. It could use a 15.6-inch touchscreen similar to the one in the Windsor EV. Other features such as the panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless charger, ambient lighting, and cruise control are expected to continue.
Safety features on the MG Hector 2026 will include six airbags, ESP, TPMS, traction control, all-wheel disc brakes, ISOFIX child seat mounts, hill hold control, a 360-degree camera, a blind spot monitor, and Level 2 ADAS.
The engine options are likely to remain unchanged, continuing with the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engines.
