Mercedes-Benz India is set to reintroduce the V-Class luxury MPV in the country, with its launch scheduled for March 3, 2026. With demand steadily rising for premium people movers such as the Toyota Vellfire, Kia Carnival and the upcoming MG M9, the V-Class makes a timely return to the Indian market. It will directly rival the Vellfire and is expected to appeal to business owners, luxury fleet operators and buyers looking for a high-end chauffeur-driven vehicle.
In terms of styling, the new Mercedes V-Class carries a familiar yet modern design. It features the brand’s signature grille up front, diamond-cut alloy wheels and large sliding doors for easy access to the second row. At the rear, the MPV gets a large glass area and vertically stacked tail-lamps. Mercedes is likely to offer the V-Class in both Exclusive and AMG Line trims, allowing buyers to choose between a more elegant or slightly sportier look.
Inside, the V-Class focuses on comfort and technology. The cabin is expected to get dual digital screens, including a touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital driver’s display. A three-spoke Mercedes steering wheel, premium upholstery and high-quality materials should add to the overall luxury feel.
The V-Class will be offered as a 7-seater, while an Exclusive package with a four-seat layout and swivelling second-row seats could also be introduced. Powering the MPV will be a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, producing 158bhp and 380Nm of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
In global markets, the V-Class is sold in Long and Extra Long wheelbase versions, along with multiple seating options. For India, prices are expected to range between Rs 1.10 crore and Rs 1.25 crore, ex-showroom.
