Royal Enfield sales in India cross 1 million units in 2025

Royal Enfield has achieved a major milestone in 2025 by crossing the 1 million sales mark in the Indian market for the first time in a calendar year. The Chennai-based motorcycle maker sold 10,71,809 bikes domestically, registering a strong 25 percent year-on-year growth compared to 2024. This performance underlines Royal Enfield’s steady hold over the premium motorcycle segment in India.

The growth was supported by consistent monthly dispatches throughout the year. Between August and October 2025, Royal Enfield crossed the 1,00,000-unit mark for three consecutive months, with October recording the brand’s highest-ever monthly wholesales of 1,16,844 units. Price cuts on popular 350cc models, following the GST rate reduction, also helped improve demand, especially in key urban and semi-urban markets.

Royal Enfield exports also saw healthy growth in 2025. The company shipped 1,32,132 motorcycles overseas, a 36 percent increase over the previous year. This shows the brand’s growing acceptance in international markets, especially for its 350cc and 650cc motorcycles.

The Classic 350 continued to be Royal Enfield’s bestselling model and accounted for a large share of total sales during April to December 2025. Models like the Bullet 350, Hunter 350 and Meteor 350 further strengthened the brand’s dominance in the 250-350cc motorcycle segment, where Royal Enfield holds an overwhelming market share.

In the higher-capacity segments as well, Royal Enfield remains a strong player. Its 650cc lineup leads the 500-800cc category with a near-monopoly position, highlighting the brand’s appeal among riders upgrading to bigger motorcycles.

With strong domestic demand, rising exports and a wide model range, Royal Enfield sales in India are expected to remain on an upward path. The brand now looks well placed to cross 1 million domestic units in a financial year for the first time in FY2026, further cementing its leadership in the Indian premium motorcycle market.
