Tata Punch EV Facelift: Variant-wise Features Explained

The 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift has been launched in India with important mechanical updates and improved features across variants. While the design remains mostly unchanged, Tata Motors has enhanced the equipment list and introduced the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option for the first time in its EV portfolio.

The Tata Punch EV 2026 is offered in three main trims – Smart+, Adventure, and Empowered – with 30kWh and 40kWh battery pack options. The top-spec variant now feels more premium and feature-rich, making it one of the most loaded compact electric SUVs in its segment.

The base Smart 30 variant comes with six airbags, ESP, hill hold, multi-mode regenerative braking, and two drive modes – City and Sport. It also gets iRA.ev connectivity and a 4-inch instrument cluster.

The Smart+ 40 adds a larger 40kWh battery pack, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, reverse camera, and an extra Eco drive mode. Moving to the Adventure 40, buyers get push-button start, cruise control, hill descent control, and electrically adjustable ORVMs.

The top Empowered 40 variant offers premium features such as a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitor, 10.25-inch Harman infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, air purifier, connected tail lamps, and diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The Empowered+ S 40 further adds a voice-assisted electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, wireless charger, smart LED headlamps, and roof rails.

With multiple battery options and advanced safety features, the Tata Punch EV facelift strengthens its position in the growing electric SUV market in India.
