To support this growth, the brand has expanded its EV ecosystem with solutions like BMW Destination Charging, Smart E-Routing, Charging Concierge, complimentary Wallbox chargers, and a nationwide fast-charging dealer network.

Demand for Long Wheelbase and Luxury Models

Long wheelbase BMW models — including the 3 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series, and iX1 — grew by an impressive 159% in H1 2025, making up 47% of BMW’s total car sales. Among sedans, the 5 Series emerged as the highest seller, while the 3 Series continued to lead the Indian premium sedan segment.

In the flagship luxury segment, models such as the BMW 7 Series, BMW i7, BMW X7, and BMW XM continued to attract Indian luxury buyers.

Performance of SAVs and MINI

BMW’s Sports Activity Vehicles (SAVs) saw 17% growth in H1 2025. Their share of total sales also rose from 56% in Q1 to 59% in Q2. The BMW X1 remained the most popular SAV, accounting for over 30% of BMW India’s car sales.

MINI delivered 297 vehicles in H1 2025, with the MINI Cooper S posting over 60% growth year-on-year.

BMW Motorrad Highlights

BMW Motorrad sold 2,569 motorcycles during the first half of 2025. The G 310 RR remained the top-selling smart-cc model, while the 900 GS / GSA and 1300 GS / GSA led the adventure touring segment.
