BYD India has opened bookings for the Sealion 7 First Anniversary Edition, marking a year of its flagship electric SUV in the country. Bookings start today, with an initial amount of ₹70,000. This special edition brings added benefits for early buyers, making it an interesting option for those considering a premium electric SUV.
As part of the anniversary offer, the first 1,100 customers will receive a complimentary 11kW home charger along with installation. In addition, buyers will get two years of free service and maintenance, which should help reduce overall ownership costs in the initial years.
One of the key highlights is the upgraded low-voltage battery (LVB), which uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology. This battery now comes with an extended warranty of eight years or 1,50,000 km, compared to the standard six-year coverage. This added warranty provides extra peace of mind, especially for long-term users.
Inside the cabin, the anniversary edition introduces a new Tahiti Blue interior theme. This fresh colour option adds a slightly different feel to the SUV while continuing with the ocean-inspired design that the Sealion 7 is known for. The overall layout and features remain the same, focusing on a clean and modern look.
According to Rajeev Chauhan, Vice President of the electric passenger vehicle business at BYD India, this edition is aimed at offering more value while celebrating the model’s journey in India.
In terms of pricing, the Sealion 7 Premium variant with the 82.56kWh battery is priced at ₹49.40 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Performance variant with the same battery pack is priced at ₹54.90 lakh.
These anniversary benefits are available only for bookings made until April 30 or for the first 1,100 customers, whichever comes first.
