Honda Amaze has taken a big step forward in safety, earning a 5-star rating for adult occupants and a 4-star rating for child occupants under the Bharat NCAP crash-test program. This makes the third-generation Amaze one of the safest made-in-India family sedans, giving buyers extra confidence in its protection standards.
Bharat NCAP, India’s official crash-test authority, evaluates cars using protocols similar to Global NCAP and Euro NCAP. Tests include frontal and side impacts, as well as checks for child seat installation. A 5-star adult occupant rating means the Amaze can handle real-world crashes effectively, keeping passengers safe.
In testing, the Amaze scored 14.33 out of 16 in the frontal offset deformable barrier test and 14 out of 16 in the side impact test. Its overall adult dynamic score was an impressive 23.81 out of 24. Standard safety features played a key role, including dual front airbags, side head and thorax airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), rear parking sensors, seatbelt pretensioners with load limiters, and ISOFIX mounts for child seats.
Child occupant safety is also strong, with a perfect 12/12 score for CRS installation and near-perfect dynamic scores for both the three-year-old and 18-month-old dummies. The ISOFIX with leg support ensures secure rear-facing child seat installation, crucial for infants and toddlers. Other features such as seatbelt reminders, ABS with EBD, child-safety locks, rear defogger, and airbag cut-off switch add extra layers of protection.
With its strong structural design, multiple airbags, and top crash-test scores, the Honda Amaze stands out in the compact sedan segment. Families looking for a safe, reliable, and well-equipped car now have another strong option with the Amaze.
