Honda Unveils New ‘H’ Logo for Its Future Cars

Honda has officially revealed a new version of its well-known ‘H’ logo, marking an important step in the brand’s journey towards electric and intelligent mobility. Announced from Tokyo on January 13, 2026, the refreshed logo will be used on Honda’s future cars and will be introduced globally in a phased manner.

The ‘H’ badge has been part of Honda’s automobile identity since 1963, evolving over the decades as the company grew. This latest redesign comes at a time when Honda is reshaping its car business around electric vehicles (EVs), hybrids and advanced technology.

According to Honda, the new logo has been developed alongside its next-generation electric models, including the upcoming Honda 0 Series. The design follows a “starting from zero” philosophy, which represents a fresh approach to vehicle development. Visually, the new H mark resembles two open hands, symbolising openness to new ideas, innovation and a stronger focus on customers.

The updated Honda logo will first appear on next-generation electric and hybrid cars launching from 2027 onwards. Over time, it will also be rolled out across Honda dealerships, brand communication and motorsports activities worldwide. For now, existing Honda models will continue to wear the current logo.

This announcement is especially relevant for Honda India. The company has already confirmed plans to introduce up to 10 new cars in India by 2030, with SUVs forming a major part of the lineup. India has also been identified as one of Honda’s top three growth markets, along with the US and Japan.

One of the key upcoming models for the Indian market is the Honda 0 Alpha electric SUV, previewed at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. Expected to be produced at Honda’s Tapukara plant in Rajasthan, the SUV will play a role in Honda’s global EV strategy.

With its renewed focus on electric cars, SUVs and new technology, the new Honda ‘H’ logo signals more than just a design change. It reflects Honda’s intent to start a new chapter, especially in fast-growing markets like India.
