Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV Celebration Edition Launched in India at Rs 1.34 Crore

Mercedes-Benz has introduced a new Celebration Edition of the EQS SUV in India, with prices starting at Rs 1.34 crore for the 5-seater version and Rs 1.48 crore for the 7-seater version (ex-showroom). This special edition is based on the EQS 450 and brings a sportier AMG Line design package, which was earlier limited to the top-spec EQS 580.

The biggest update with the EQS SUV Celebration Edition is the addition of the AMG Line trim on the base 450 variant. This includes sportier front and rear bumpers, along with 21-inch AMG alloy wheels that give the electric SUV a more dynamic look. Mercedes-Benz has also added rear-seat ventilation as standard on both the EQS 450 and EQS 580. Importantly, these updates come at no extra cost over the regular models.

In terms of powertrain, the EQS SUV 450 continues with a 5-seat layout and is powered by a 122kWh battery pack. It uses a dual-motor setup producing 360hp and 800Nm of torque, with a claimed MIDC range of up to 820km. The EQS SUV 580, which comes in a 7-seater configuration, also uses the same battery but delivers higher outputs of 544hp and 858Nm. Its claimed range stands at 809km.

On the features front, the EQS SUV remains one of the most tech-loaded electric vehicles on sale. It gets Mercedes’ 56-inch Hyperscreen dashboard, ambient lighting, wireless phone charging, head-up display, a Burmester sound system, 360-degree camera, four-zone climate control, Level 2 ADAS and nine airbags.

Mercedes-Benz also highlighted its strong EV performance in India, with electric vehicles recording 12 percent sales growth in 2025. EVs accounted for 20 percent of the brand’s top-end vehicle sales, with the EQS SUV emerging as its highest-selling luxury EV.
