Our Verdict
In my opinion, if Kia prices the Sorento Hybrid competitively, it has all the right ingredients to shake up the premium SUV segment completely. Indian buyers in the ₹45-lakh space have been desperate for a modern, tech-loaded 7-seater SUV that doesn't drink petrol like a thirsty camel. The Toyota Fortuner has ruled the roost for years simply because there wasn't a compelling, refined alternative with equal swagger and lower running costs.
