Vinfast is steadily establishing its presence in India, with its next significant step being the launch of the Limo Green electric MPV, scheduled for February 2026. This upcoming model is poised to challenge the Kia Carens Clavis EV, currently the only electric MPV in its segment. With Indian families increasingly considering electric vehicles, Vinfast appears to have timed its entry well.
The Limo Green boasts generous dimensions, measuring 4.7 meters in length, 1.8 meters in width, and 1.7 meters in height, along with a 2.8-meter wheelbase—promising ample space for family use. Powering the vehicle is a 150kW electric motor delivering 280Nm of torque, paired with a 60.13kWh battery pack. Vinfast claims a driving range of 450 kilometers on a single charge, which gives it an edge over several rivals. The MPV also supports fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 70% in approximately 30 minutes using an 80kW DC charger.
Feature highlights include two driving modes, 18-inch alloy wheels, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a four-speaker audio setup, single-zone climate control, and a driver’s seat with six-way adjustments. Ventilated disc brakes on all wheels add to the safety package, a notable offering in this price bracket.
Vinfast has adopted a cautious yet determined approach in India, following the introduction of the VF 6 and VF 7 models and significant investment in its Thoothukudi assembly facility. The upcoming launch of the Limo Green signals the company’s long-term commitment to the Indian market.
Additionally, Vinfast has filed patents for a compact EV that could rival the MG Comet, as well as another model targeting the ride-hailing segment, indicating plans for further expansion. If the company maintains its current momentum, the Limo Green is well-positioned to become a strong contender in India’s electric MPV landscape.
