The MG Hector Tomahawk EV is one of the most interesting new electric SUVs launched in India in 2026, primarily because it combines a genuine seven-seat configuration with a large 69.2 kWh LFP battery and a claimed 517 km MIDC range. Against the Mahindra XEV 9S, the Tomahawk EV's biggest advantage is its seven-seat practicality and aggressive pricing, while the XEV 9S offers a more performance-oriented rear-wheel-drive architecture. Compared with the Tata Harrier EV, the Tomahawk offers a stronger value proposition and a seven-seat option, while the Harrier EV can offer AWD on higher variants and longer claimed range in some configurations. The Tomahawk's combination of V2H, V2L, technology and pricing makes it a particularly interesting new entrant.
