BMW Group Unveils 4,000 km High-Power EV Charging Corridor in India

BMW Group India has unveiled a 4,000 km high-power EV charging corridor, a major step toward enabling long-distance electric vehicle travel across the country. With this move, BMW strengthens its leadership in luxury electric mobility while addressing one of the biggest hurdles for EV adoption in India—range anxiety.


BMW EV Charging Corridor – Coverage & Network

The new EV charging corridor runs from Jammu in the north to Madurai in the south, with fast chargers positioned every 300 km. It connects key travel routes and metro cities including:

  • Delhi
  • Jaipur
  • Ahmedabad
  • Mumbai
  • Pune
  • Hubballi
  • Bengaluru
  • Coimbatore
  • Madurai

The chargers offer 120 kW to 720 kW capacity, enabling fast charging for both BMW EV owners and other electric vehicle users. Most stations are located at cafes, restaurants, and premium lounges, ensuring customer comfort during charging stops.


Open to All EV Owners

Developed in partnership with Statiq and Zeon, this charging corridor is not exclusive to BMW cars. Owners of all EV brands can access the network, making it a big boost to India’s EV ecosystem and nationwide charging infrastructure.

Apart from the corridor, BMW already operates:

  • 300+ Destination Chargers across hotels, resorts, and malls
  • Access to 6,000+ charging points nationwide via tie-ups with leading providers

All charging points are accessible through the myBMW app, which provides live charger status, speed filters, and nearby amenities.
