VinFast Announces Exchange Benefits and Buyback Assurance for VF6 and VF7

Vietnamese electric vehicle brand VinFast has introduced a new ‘Value Assured’ programme for its VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs in India. The initiative is aimed at buyers who are planning to move from petrol or diesel vehicles to an EV, with exchange benefits of up to Rs 1.30 lakh being offered on both models.

Assured Resale Value and Loyalty Benefits

As part of the programme, customers can trade in their existing internal combustion vehicle and receive financial support while upgrading to either SUV. Along with the exchange bonus, the company is also promising an assured resale value of up to 75 percent of the ex-showroom price. These company-backed buyback plans are available for ownership periods ranging from two to five years, which could help reduce uncertainty around long-term ownership costs.

VinFast is also offering a 3 percent loyalty benefit under this scheme. While exact terms may depend on location and dealership, the overall package appears designed to address one of the biggest concerns among EV buyers in India — resale value.

VinFast VF6 and VF7: Battery and Range Details

The VF6 is positioned as the brand’s entry-level electric SUV in India and comes with a 59.6kWh battery pack. It is priced between Rs 17.29 lakh and Rs 19.19 lakh (ex-showroom). The larger VF7 sits higher in the lineup, with prices ranging from Rs 21.89 lakh to Rs 26.79 lakh. Buyers can choose between 59.6kWh and 70kWh battery options on the VF7.

According to Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), the claimed driving range is up to 468km for the VF6 and up to 532km for the VF7, depending on the variant.

More Models Planned for India

The carmaker has also confirmed plans to expand its Indian portfolio later this year with additional products, including the VF3 micro EV, VF5 electric hatchback, and the Limogreen MPV.
